Ronda Rousey opens up about injury, WWE future, attempts to have baby

Ronda Rousey spoke in depth on her YouTube vlog that was published Monday about the injury she suffered at WrestleMania 35, her possible future with the WWE, and her ongoing attempts of starting a family with her husband, UFC heavyweight Travis Brown.
It’s the first we’ve heard from her since she posted a picture of her and Brown on Instagram with the caption “#impregnationvacation” last week.
First, the injury news. Rousey said she had surgery on her right pinkie knuckle after she broke it during her historic main event match. She’ll have the cast on for four weeks then they are going to vacation around the world.
Then she got into her WWE future:
“As for WWE plans in the future, we want to have a baby first. I don’t know what it’s like to have a baby. I could look down at this beautiful child and be like ‘f— everything, I don’t care about anything else other than this baby.’ And you’ll never see me again. (Brown chimed in here with ‘You’ll see her again.’) Or, I could be like my mom, who trained while she was eight months pregnant and then won the US Open six weeks after giving birth. Which was unbelievable. I don’t think I’m going to try and aspire to her level. But I’m just saying, you never know, I don’t want to make any promises about the future when I don’t know how I’m gonna feel in the future.”
She and Brown then ended the video to go have “Mommy/Daddy time,” a phrase they used very often in the video.

She also spoke about her experience with the WWE:
Originally we approached them and I thought I’d only be able to wrestle from WrestleMania til November because we already wanted to start a family. We came to the WWE as like, ‘Hey, before we have a baby I just want to come do this for a couple of months because it’s something I always wanted to do.’ And then it just kind of snowballed into instead of being like a small detour in my life, it became my whole life for an entire year and I fell in love with it.”
So will Ronda come back to the WWE? My gut says no, that she’ll sail off into the sunset and be a mom and enjoy her time with her family as she deserves.
But you never know.
