ESPN radio and TV persona Will Cain apparently thought he was going to fill in for Bomani Jones and co-host Monday’s episode of Excessive Midday with Pablo Torre.
He had his opening dialogue able to go and appeared genuinely excited to be part of the present. That was, nicely, till Jones confirmed up and kicked him off the set.
Cain, who did seem like stunned, was confused by why Jones was on set and what he meant by “obtained you.” All of it occurred to Cain in realtime that he was being booted off the present as a part of a prank. And he was salty about it.
Cain stated as he walked away:
“Subsequent time you will have me on, you jerks received’t have me on as a joke.”
To which Jones replied:
“Subsequent time they have you ever on would be the day I stop.”
After all, there was an opportunity that Cain was in on the entire prank. He did share the video on Twitter. Plus, would ESPN actually have Cain undergo manufacturing conferences and work on dialogue for Excessive Midday solely to power him off the present after 45 seconds? That will be fairly wonderful, if that’s the case.
Jones and Cain have clashed on Twitter quite a few instances over the previous few years, and Jones refused to seem on any debate-style program that concerned Cain.
Perhaps it was actual. Nothing is actual about April Fools’ jokes, however perhaps — simply perhaps — this one will be actual.
